About the work

Flowers are symbols of beauty and life, and at the same time one of the most frequently repeated motifs in the history of painting. Taking on that tradition, “Proliferating Flowers” turns the very act of reproduction into its subject. The proliferating flowers have no original. What exists is only layers of overlapping paint and endless repetition.
