The “outline” series aims for compositions that hold from any angle, allowing multiple viewpoints that do not depend on a single frontal view. The visual layers created by overlapping fields of color evoke a sense of spatial expanse within the flat surface and unsettle the viewer’s perception.

I see painting not as a static flat work or an object for receiving visual information, but as a dynamic structure that comes into being through the viewer’s physical and psychological engagement. Focusing on the gap between what seems clearly visible and what is actually perceived, and exploring the contradictions and possibilities within the historical framework of painting, I question what it means to “see” and to “feel,” and aim to present painting not as a fixed object but as something that emerges through its interaction with the act of viewing.
