icco Yoshimura “Urban Summer Breeze”

icco Yoshimura

The season when summer winds pass through the city. Through food and drink adorned with fruit, herbs and flowers, the artist paints the signs of summer drifting through the urban air: breezes carrying scent, air filled with light, the glow of people gathering. With a lightness like city pop, the works depict the small oases that appear in everyday life.

This exhibition is organized by GALLERY ISHIKAWA. Works are available through the GALLERY ISHIKAWA online shop.

Born 1987, Kyoto

Using food, drink, and flowers as motifs, I make work on the themes of time spent gathered around the table and food culture.

Painting the joy and festivity of sharing food, and gratitude for life, in vivid colors, I express the richness of food that connects people with one another, and the memories that linger in everyday life.
Began working as an artist in 2016. Since 2024, has also taken on collaborative projects with companies and product planning. Currently based in Fukuoka.
