Two-Person Exhibition “Somewhere, Today Too.” Kayo Yamada × Okamura Kazuki

Kayo Yamada×Okamura Kazuki

Look closely, and small stories are quietly being born: on street corners, in the corner of a room, in someone’s memory. In this exhibition, two artists with distinct approaches depict landscapes and presences that lie between the everyday and the imagined. The time spent before the works opens a small margin in busy days and offers a gentle encounter that lets familiar scenes feel a little different.

This exhibition is organized by GALLERY ISHIKAWA. Works are available through the GALLERY ISHIKAWA online shop.

Okamura Kazuki

I paint with images in mind such as the new shoots and flowers of plants, and the larvae and young of living creatures. These are soft, ambiguous stages before adulthood, beings that also invite us to imagine what forms they will take. I paint such symbols of new life within landscapes that seem to float somewhere far away.
