Haruto Mikajiri
Born 2000, Kanagawa
Drawing mainly on East Asian art, I take particular inspiration from the collage-like qualities and distinctive spatial forms of calligraphy and painting, and make work that reinterprets them through a variety of techniques.
In recent years, I have taken my practice outdoors, exploring and reconsidering these questions through the medium of the “mural.”

Currently enrolled in the Master's program in Painting (Mural Painting Laboratory I), Graduate School, Tokyo University of the Arts.
