About the work
The contrast between vivid green and yellow catches the eye in this work. The girl resting her chin on her hand has no specific model. Precisely because she is an “empty presence” who does not exist, she becomes a “mirror” that reflects the viewer’s mood and memories of the day. By deliberately using silkscreen, a technique originally meant for mass production, as a one-of-a-kind expression, the work engraves onto the picture a “human wavering” that digital perfection lacks.
