About the work

A girl leaps across a boundary in a monochrome night scene. She is a “copy without an original” who does not exist, yet in the moment of her leap she awakens the passion of “a night once seen” in the viewer’s memory. This picture, where manga-like signs and contemporary art techniques intermingle, becomes a “third space” that is neither reality nor fiction, and is completed only when your gaze is added.
